How much does the Summit cost?
Thanks to a generous gift from Chick-fil-A, the summit is free of charge.
Students will be paired with a same sex peer and housed overnight in a hotel close to campus. All meals during the summit are provided. Transportation to and from Athens is not provided.
If a student is selected for the Summit, are they a part of the other sessions?
The Youth Leadership Summit is a separate program from the Youth Lead Georgia cohort. The summit is a two-day, one-night event held in July 2026 in Athens, GA, and is open to rising 11th and 12th graders.
If a student lives close to Athens, can they commute each day?
A primary objective of the summit is to meet new people and experience new things.
Can the students drive themselves to the Summit?
Yes, with parental permission, students may drive themselves to Athens. All transportation during the program will be provided.
If my student has a friend that is going, do you accept roommate requests?
Yes, if provided at least two weeks prior to the summit we will try our best to accommodate the request.
